About MagsDirect
What's on the shelves
Magazine sections cover puzzles, crafts, children's titles, motoring, sport, computing, lifestyle, entertainment, and home and gardening. Familiar names include Vogue, Cosmopolitan, LEGO Star Wars, National Geographic Kids and BBC Gardeners' World, and many children's titles come with a cover gift. Bookazines and one-off specials sit alongside the regular issues. There are also books, such as the Guinness World Records annuals, and a section of vinyl records. In November 2026 the kids' category alone showed more than 1,200 products, with about 500 puzzle titles.
Postage and timings
Postage depends on weight and is worked out at checkout, so there is no flat fee. Packing takes one or two business days, and anything ordered at a weekend or on a bank holiday waits for the next working day. UK buyers then choose a tracked service:
- FedEx 24hr Parcel Tracked: the quickest, at around one business day
- Royal Mail 24hr Small Parcel Tracked: one to two business days, for parcels of 2kg or less
- Yodel 48hr Tracked: between one and three business days
Delivery abroad uses PostNord International Tracked and covers over 125 destinations. Allow anywhere from 3 to 20 business days.
Returns and payment
Magazines can't be returned just because the buyer changed their mind. If an issue turns up damaged or defective, or never arrives, MagsDirect posts a free replacement. Report the problem within 48 hours of delivery and include proof of purchase, plus photos if they help. Vinyl and DVDs can come back within 14 days for a change of mind. Gift cards and reduced-price magazines fall outside these rules.
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Revolut are all accepted. Routes to Retail Limited of Peterborough runs the site, which is part of the Frontline Group, a magazine distribution business.
MagsDirect FAQs
Can an upcoming magazine issue be ordered in advance?
Yes. MagsDirect takes pre-orders, for example on the next issue of Cosmopolitan, so a copy can be reserved before it comes out. It sells single issues only, not subscriptions.
Which payment methods does MagsDirect take?
The site footer lists Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Revolut as accepted ways to pay at checkout.
What happens if a magazine arrives damaged?
Get in touch within 48 hours of it arriving. Have proof of purchase ready, and photos where they help. MagsDirect then posts a replacement and covers the cost of sending it.
How is MagsDirect postage calculated?
By weight. The checkout places each order in a weight band and charges accordingly, so there is no single flat rate. Orders are packed within one to two business days.
Does MagsDirect sell anything besides magazines?
Yes. Alongside single issues and bookazines, it stocks books such as the Guinness World Records annuals. There is also a vinyl section, and records can be returned within 14 days.
