Localists
Localists is a UK website for finding tradespeople and other local professionals. Instead of ringing round, customers describe the job once and receive quotes from verified local firms, then compare them and choose. It costs the customer nothing to use, and the work itself is arranged directly with whichever professional gets hired.
About Localists
Jobs it covers
Home and garden work makes up much of the list: tree surgery, landscaping, fences and gates, patios and driveways, gutter cleaning, artificial grass, roofing, and painting and decorating. Businesses can find web designers, accountants, bookkeepers, consultants and architectural planners. There are also wedding photographers and decorators, airport transfer drivers, and tutors for subjects such as maths and physics.
How quoting works
The process has three steps. First, fill in the project details. Next, quotes arrive from local professionals interested in the job, often within minutes according to customer testimonials. Finally, compare the quotes and pick one. Nothing is charged for submitting a request or receiving quotes.
Before you hire
Localists makes the introduction, but the agreement is between the customer and the professional. Refunds, cancellations and any guarantees depend on what is agreed with that person or firm, so get the terms in writing before work starts. Comparing several quotes also helps judge whether a price is fair for the job.
Sustainability at Localists
Esmi is committed to ethical beauty, offering vegan and cruelty-free skincare, makeup, and hair care products.

Localists FAQs
Who handles refunds for a job booked through Localists?
The professional you hire. Localists introduces customers to local firms, and any refund or cancellation terms come from the agreement made with that firm.
Can Localists find a tutor?
Yes. Alongside trades, it covers lessons and training, including maths and physics tutoring, so families and students can request quotes in the same way.
Does Localists cover business services?
It does. Companies can request quotes for web design, accounting, bookkeeping, business consulting and architectural planning from professionals in their area.
Are the professionals on Localists checked?
Localists describes the professionals on its platform as verified local experts. It is still sensible to read each quote carefully and agree terms before any work begins.
