Le Puzz
Le Puzz is a Brooklyn puzzle maker whose jigsaws borrow the box art, humour and chunky feel of old puzzles made between the 1960s and the 1980s. Friends Alistair Matthews and Michael Hunter set it up in 2020 after collecting old puzzles themselves. UK visitors see prices in pounds, and orders cross the Atlantic with DHL.
About Le Puzz
The puzzles
Sizes start with 81-piece minis, such as a fruit series that includes Flat Plum, Flat Apple and Flat Lemon. The 500-piece jigsaws have extra-thick pieces, which Le Puzz hopes will let a completed puzzle be picked up whole. At 1,000 pieces the themes widen to food, animals and small everyday objects. Cuts are random, so piece shapes change across the board rather than repeating on a grid. Most artwork is drawn in-house, alongside collaborations such as 39 Animals with artist Donnie O'Donnell and Charmworld with Haricot Vert. Merchandise covers a deck of playing cards, bandanas, keyrings, stickers, clothing and a large bag for puzzles.
Paper and packaging
The paper is FSC-approved, and each puzzle is packed in a reusable, resealable bag. A share of profits, 1% a year from sales on its own site, goes to environmental causes.
Ordering to the UK
Orders take up to three business days to pack. DHL carries UK parcels, and the price depends on weight and destination, worked out at checkout. The person receiving the parcel pays any import duty or tax. Lost or stolen parcels aren't replaced. Returns need Le Puzz's approval and must happen within 14 days of delivery, with goods unused and in the packaging they arrived in. The buyer covers return postage, and refunds come as store credit or a swap. A 3% restocking fee applies to orders cancelled before dispatch.
