James Bark

James Bark is a casual clothing label that, by its own account, a group of friends started in Miami in 2009 because they were tired of clothes that shrank or faded after a few washes. Its American web store sells in dollars and gives its location as Doral, Florida. Polo shirts remain the core of the range.

• Caps and hats, socks, bags, shoes and leather accessories
• Solid Pima cotton basics and the Elements collection

Delivery and returns

James Bark's shipping policy says orders are processed within 24 to 48 hours but asks customers to allow 3 to 5 business days for an order to ship. Standard US delivery by USPS, UPS or DHL then takes up to 3 to 5 business days, and it is free on orders of $75 or more. Parcels reach Mexico in up to 5 to 10 business days and other countries in up to 10 to 15, with costs shown at checkout and any import duties paid by the buyer.

Returns must be requested within 30 days of receiving the item, and parcels sent back without a request are refused. Items need to be unworn and unwashed, with tags attached and in the original packaging. Approved US returns get a free prepaid label, and refunds go back to the original payment method within 10 business days of inspection. Pieces bought from the reduced-price section can be exchanged but not refunded, and defects have to be reported within 10 days of purchase.
