What's in the bottle
Each 500ml bottle holds 21 kcal and 6g of fibre, the brand says, and 4.5g of that fibre comes from chicory root. ió highlights two health claims authorised for chicory root fibre in both the UK and the EU. The first relates to normal gut function, through more frequent bowel movements, and needs 12g a day: roughly 2.7 bottles. The second states that swapping sugars for it means blood glucose climbs less after a meal. Independent research on gut bacteria at Glasgow Caledonian University is also cited.
Store unopened bottles at room temperature. After opening, refrigerate and drink within 24 hours.
Ordering and delivery
There is no delivery charge on any order. Shipping covers the UK plus 27 EU member states. No delivery timescales are given, so allow some slack if the drink is needed by a set date. Subscribe and Save sets up regular repeat orders. ió first launched in May 2022 and adopted its present name in 2025.
If something goes wrong
Buyers have 14 days from receiving an order to ask for a refund. The goods then need to be back with the company inside another fortnight, still unused and packed as sent. Postage for a return is covered only if the item was faulty or not what was ordered. Send photos and order details to [email protected], because a claim with no pictures will be refused. It is then the buyer's choice: a replacement, or money back within ten days of the return reaching the company.
