About IKEA

Room by room

For living rooms there are sofas, armchairs, coffee tables and media units. Bedrooms are covered by beds, mattresses and wardrobes, including the PAX system. IKEA's kitchen planning service helps design a new kitchen, and dining tables and chairs sit nearby. Smaller buys include lighting, textiles and home accessories. KALLAX shelving and BILLY bookcases are the go-to storage staples.

Delivery and collection

Home delivery is priced by the total weight of the order, and the basket must reach £15 first. IKEA Family members pay from £2 for delivery. Express options cost extra. Click & Collect costs nothing and has no minimum order value.

Returns and membership

Most products can come back within 365 days, opened or unopened, for a full refund. They need to be in good condition, with proof of purchase. If IKEA collects the return there is a £25 charge, waived for faulty goods. A mattress can be swapped once within the same 365 days. IKEA Family is free to join. Members get Whoops Assurance, which covers accidental damage, and a free tea or filter coffee on weekday store visits. The Buyback and Resell programme takes in used furniture. Payment options include major cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and IKEA Gift Cards.

Sustainability at IKEA

IKEA is committed to becoming climate positive by 2030. Ingka Group aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by FY30 and reach net-zero by FY50. Initiatives include 100% renewable electricity in all IKEA facilities, the Buyback and Resell programme for used furniture, and designing all products for circularity.
