About Holford Direct
The four supplement ranges
The Essentials range is the everyday base, covering a multivitamin and mineral formula, additional vitamin C and essential fats. The Metabolism range is aimed at weight management. The Mind range focuses on brain health, and the Body range targets specific health conditions. Each range is labelled by purpose, which makes it easier to find a product for a particular goal. Named products include ImmuneC and the Optimum Nutrition Formula.
The thinking behind it
Patrick Holford puts prevention first, arguing that natural nutrients help protect against ill health. He has formulated supplements since 2002, aiming for optimum intakes instead of the standard Recommended Dietary Allowance. His books explain that thinking in more depth, and the food and drink selection follows the same approach.
