HJ Hall is a British sock maker with roots in 1882, when 'Honest John' Hall began making hard-wearing hose for Leicestershire farmers. The socks are still made in Leicestershire, and the firm is now part of the Pantherella International Group. Its best-known lines are Softop non-elasticated socks and specialist diabetic socks, alongside walking and everyday designs.

Socks for comfort and circulation
Softop socks, patented in 1989, use relaxation panels instead of tight elastic, so they grip gently without leaving marks or restricting circulation. They suit sensitive legs and anyone with diabetes or circulation problems. The Institute of Chiropodists and Podiatrists endorses both Softop and the specialist diabetic range. An extra wide version is available too.
Tough and technical lines
Indestructible socks date back to 1958 and carry a 12-month guarantee. ProTrek technical walking socks were tested on the Polar Horizon team's Arctic expedition. Everyday men's and ladies' socks come in cotton, wool and bamboo, across casual, business, thermal and fashion styles.
Ordering
UK mainland orders qualify for free delivery above a minimum spend, shown at checkout. Standard delivery takes three to five working days. Unworn socks in original packaging can be returned within 28 days. Visa, Mastercard and PayPal are accepted, and a rewards scheme earns points on each order.
