HappyWall prints wallpaper murals to order in Sweden and ships them free to the UK. You pick a design by an independent artist or upload your own photo. Designs and materials
Themes range from botanical and vintage prints to maps, space scenes and kids' designs, with collections such as Chinoiserie and Dopamine Walls. For smaller walls, Happy Mattic is a peel-and-stick option. The standard paper is non-woven and strengthened with nylon fibres, and you paste the wall, not the paper. HappyWall says it is fire rated under EN 13501-1 and ASTM E84.
Printing your own photo
Custom murals are printed from JPEG files, and staff check each image before it goes to print. The rule is at least one pixel for each millimetre of wall, or the result may look soft. A 360 x 240 cm wall therefore needs an image of at least 3,600 x 2,400 pixels.
