About Free Now
What you can book
The app offers two main choices. Black cabs are licensed taxis available in London, while private hire vehicles suit a more low-key journey. Some cities also have other mobility options. Coverage varies, so check the app for your area before relying on it.
How a trip works
You enter a destination and see an estimated fare before confirming. Once a driver accepts, the app shows their details and tracks the car's approach in real time. Payment is cashless and happens in the app, by card, PayPal, Apple Pay or another digital wallet. That means no hunting for cash at the end of the ride.
Support and refunds
Help comes mainly through in-app chat and the online help centre. Fare disputes are raised in the app, and refunds are given for cancelled rides. Downloading the app costs nothing. Drivers have their own support too, including a London centre for black cab drivers and a scheme called Freenow Loyalty.
