Enterprise Car Club
Enterprise Car Club lets members borrow a car or van by the hour or the day instead of owning one. Vehicles are parked in dedicated bays across more than 180 UK towns and cities, and members book online or in the app. The service began as City Car Club in 2000 and is now part of Enterprise Holdings.

About Enterprise Car Club
How it works
After joining, bookings can run from a single hour to several days. Cars and vans wait in on-street bays, car parks, train stations and Enterprise branches, with access around the clock. Keyless entry works through a membership card or the app. Fuel is included, along with damage protection, breakdown cover, MOTs and servicing, so your main costs are time and mileage.
Who it suits
Car sharing works well for city dwellers who drive now and then, for students and for businesses that need vehicles without running a fleet. A van booked for an afternoon can handle moving bulky items. Compared with owning a car, there is no insurance renewal, MOT or servicing to organise yourself.
Good to know
More than 30% of the fleet is electric or hybrid, and the club says each vehicle can replace up to 32 private cars. It won a Green Fleet Award in 2018. Bookings can usually be changed or cancelled from your account, subject to the membership terms. A 24/7 helpdesk handles reservations, while a membership team answers other questions in business hours. Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted.
