About Cornish Sea Salt
Why this salt tastes different
The rock on this stretch of coast includes serpentine and gabbro. According to the company, that gives the salt plenty of natural magnesium and calcium, while keeping sodium low. Chefs tend to pick it for its clean taste.
Founder Tony Fraser was inspired by finding the remains of Iron Age salt-making along this coastline. It has since collected a Queen's Award for international trade.
