Boroux

Boroux makes water filters in Pueblo, Colorado, and is still a family business. The company dates its founding to 2015, according to its website. Parker Emerson, a co-founder, leads it alongside his sister, Miranda. The main product is a stainless steel gravity filter for the worktop, backed by replacement filters, a shower filter and glass drinkware. UK shoppers see prices in pounds, but it is an American company, so allow for longer delivery.

About Boroux

The filter systems

Systems are offered in two capacities, 3 gallons and 1.8 gallons. Choose a sage green, black, white or plain polished steel finish. The filtering itself is done by black carbon elements called Foundation Filters, and Proactive fluoride filters can be added. Boroux expects a set of Foundation Filters to keep going for as long as 12 months. Cleaning and fresh priming are advised every three to six months. Fluoride filters are rated for 1,000 gallons. According to the brand, Water Quality Association certification covers standards 42, 372 and 401 under NSF/ANSI/CAN. A lifetime warranty is advertised on the systems.

Accessories and extras

The shower filter takes a replacement cartridge, rated for about three months. Drinkware includes glass bottles holding 33 oz or 16 oz, a 64 oz pitcher and cups made of stainless steel. Stands in teak or steel lift the filter. Spare spigots, maintenance kits and a filter primer that works automatically are sold too. Gift cards are available.

Ordering from the UK

Boroux FAQs

Will I see prices in pounds?

Yes. UK visitors see prices in GBP, and shipping, duties and taxes are calculated and paid at checkout.

How long does a Boroux order take to reach the UK?

International delivery can take as long as 30 days, according to Boroux. Order early if you need the filter by a particular date.

Who pays to send a return back from the UK?

You do. Prepaid labels are for mainland US addresses only, so buyers in Britain book and cover the postage themselves.

Where does the Boroux name come from?

Boroux takes its name from borosilicate glass. That was the material used in its very first product, a drinking bottle.

Does Boroux sell gift cards?

Yes, gift cards are available. They suit someone who would rather choose their own filter size or accessories.
