Blinkist
Blinkist is an app that condenses non-fiction books into short summaries you can read or hear in about 15 minutes. Started in Berlin in 2012 and now owned by Go1, it covers business, psychology, science, history and self-improvement. It suits commuters and busy readers who want a book's main ideas before committing to the whole thing.

About Blinkist
How it works
Each summary pulls five to seven key ideas from the original book, in text and with professional audio narration. The library holds more than 6,500 titles, and over 70 new ones arrive each month. A Blinkist AI tool goes further, producing summaries of articles, documents, podcasts and videos that you supply.
Free versus Premium
The free tier shows one pre-selected summary each day. Premium unlocks the whole library, and a free trial lets you test it before paying. Premium includes offline access, Kindle sync and highlights you can share. Gift cards are sold if you want to give a subscription to someone else.
Signing up from the UK
Blinkist is fully digital, so access starts as soon as you subscribe and nothing is posted. Use it on iOS, Android or a web browser. Payment is by Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You can cancel at any time in account settings. Refund rules depend on where you subscribed: the App Store, Google Play or Blinkist directly.
