Big Game Hunters

What you'll find

Playhouses are the centrepiece, and buyers can kit them out with paint, furniture and role-play sets. Teepees and play tents suit smaller spaces. Mud kitchens and sandpits come with their own accessories. Active children are catered for with balance boards, slides, swings and climbing frames.

Grown-ups get the giant games: Giant Connect 4, Hi-Tower and outsized chess or draughts. Croquet, throwing games and boules suit a summer lawn. Sports balls and kit cover football, cricket, tennis, netball and basketball. Indoors, look for train sets, dolls' houses and play kitchens from Bigjigs, Le Toy Van and Tender Leaf Toys.

Before you order

Standard tracked delivery on the UK mainland is £4.99, arriving in two to three working days. Spend over £50 on standard items and it is free. Bulky pieces, long slides among them, travel as oversize parcels at £4.99 apiece and need three to five working days. When a basket mixes the two, only the single highest fee is charged. Anything standard-sized under 120cm, ordered by 12:30pm on any working day, ships the same day.

Northern Ireland, Jersey, Guernsey, the Isle of Man and the Highlands and Islands of Scotland carry a £4.99 surcharge per item. Oversize goods cannot go to any of these areas.

Good to know

Change your mind and there are 14 calendar days from delivery to send things back. Items must be unused and in the original box, enclosing the despatch note. Return postage is the buyer's cost unless something is faulty. The shop does not exchange goods; to get something else, return the item for a refund and order again. There is no call centre: a small team who know the stock first-hand answer queries. E-gift cards are sold too.
