Selected clinics run instant tests for seven common infections, while every clinic can send samples away for wider lab testing. The Come2You service sends a nurse to the patient's home or office, wherever they are in the country. Home kits arrive in plain packaging, and the samples are returned to the lab for testing.
What can be tested
Single tests and multi-infection screens cover HIV, chlamydia, gonorrhoea, syphilis, herpes and hepatitis, among others. Lab results usually take between 1 and 5 days, depending on the test. They appear in a private online patient area that can be checked at any hour. Advice and treatment routes are on hand if a result needs follow-up.
