Asan
Asan is a Hertfordshire-based period care brand, started in 2020, built around one main product: a reusable menstrual cup. The Asan Cup is made from medical-grade silicone, has a ring to make removal easier, and is designed to last up to 10 years. For every cup sold, the company donates another to someone who cannot afford period products.

About Asan
What's in the range
The cup is the centrepiece, with two add-ons: the OneDrop Menstrual Cup Cleanser, made for looking after the cup, and Asan's multi-purpose lube. The cup was developed at the Harvard Innovation Lab, uses USP Class VI silicone and is designed to be leakproof and stain-resistant.
Who it suits
It suits people ready to swap disposables for something reusable, whether the motive is comfort or cutting waste. Asan estimates that one cup replaces around 2,500 pads or tampons over its life. Newcomers to cups may find the removal ring reassuring, while experienced users get a long-lasting option.
Buying from Asan
The brand sells online through asancup.com, with delivery in the UK and abroad. Unused products can be returned, and NHS staff can apply a discount at checkout. Visa, Mastercard, American Express and PayPal are all taken, and the customer team answers by email. The donation scheme sends cups to women and girls in rural India who lack access to safe period care, as part of a goal to end period poverty by 2030.
Sustainability at Asan
One cup averts 2,500 pads/tampons from landfill. 10-year reusability. Mission to transform 1 million lives and prevent 2 billion products from landfill.
