American Golf
American Golf is a specialist golf retailer that has been kitting out players since 1978, with stores across the UK and Ireland as well as its website. It sells clubs, balls, bags, clothing and shoes, but the bigger draw for many golfers is the free custom fitting, which comes with PGA professional advice.

Kit for every part of the game
The club range covers drivers, irons, wedges and putters from the major manufacturers. Clothing comes in men's, women's and junior styles, including polos, trousers and outerwear, and footwear runs to brands such as Adidas. Trolleys, GPS devices, training aids and balls fill in the rest.
Fitting, gifts and golf trips
Custom fitting is free and follows a six-step process, a sensible move before spending on new clubs. Free game reviews are offered too. Personalised products make thoughtful golf gifts, and gift cards are available. Through Golf Holidays Direct, the retailer also arranges golf breaks in thousands of destinations around the world.
